Clifton Hill

Project summary

We were asked to be involved in the journey of rejuvenating this 120 year old piece of Australian heritage we couldn't have been more excited. The owners had engaged their own designer with plans well underway before we were involved. The plans reflected our passion  - history, passive sustainable design and functionality.

Once the planning permit had been stamped as approved and construction commenced this project required careful planning and management due to the small site area and strenuous council requirements.

The bluestone flecked concrete slab ticked all boxes structurally as well as adding some thermal mass, respecting the aim of having a passive solar design. Once the slab was poured the project moved along smoothly to completion with a close eye on returning the front facade to its former glory.

The care taken by Vigor Homes in transforming our place into a liveable heritage home was remarkable.
